Ceramic Dental Implants in Dallas
Restore Your Dental Function and Beautiful Smile with Lasting Tooth Replacement
Did you lose a tooth, or do you have one that is worn down to the point of requiring a replacement? Lynn Dental Care can use ceramic dental implants to restore your smile and your dental function in Dallas, TX. Dr. Brock Lynn, DDS, MS and the rest of our team focus on holistic dentistry and advanced technology to create treatments that support both your oral and general health, including allergies and sensitivities.
Although many people associate dental implants with the titanium type, ceramic implants are safe and long-lasting solutions to replace one or more teeth. Also known as zirconia implants, these highly engineered dental replacements are gaining in popularity, are FDA-approved, and are immunologically neutral.
For your convenience, we accept many insurance companies and recommend that you bring your insurance card to your appointment. If you are unsure whether your plan covers dental implants, our staff members can check with your provider. To help you access the dental care you need, we offer financing through CareCredit, Sunbit, and Proceed.

What Are Ceramic Dental Implants?
Ceramic implants are similar to titanium ones except for their material.
There is no metal in zirconia implants. The part that we secure into your
jawbone acts as artificial roots while the visible part works as a replacement tooth.
Zirconia combines a titanium-like strength with ceramic’s heat resistance. It cannot trigger any chemical reaction in your body and is naturally white. It combines physical qualities that restore your dental function to bite, chew, and speak comfortably with beautiful aesthetics.
Am I a Good Candidate for a Ceramic Dental Implant?
Replacing a missing or severely damaged tooth is important for your health. It helps prevent your remaining teeth from shifting and your jawbone from degrading. A lasting tooth replacement also helps you use all your teeth, natural and artificial, as necessary to eat, speak, and smile. We can use ceramic implants to replace multiple teeth if needed.
A zirconia dental implant may be especially helpful if you experience any of the following:
- Sufficient jawbone mass and support
- Healthy gums, thin gums, or gum recession
- Sensitivity or allergy to metals
- Discomfort about using metal in your body
During your initial zirconia implant consultation, we perform a thorough physical examination and review your health history. We can walk you through the procedure. Consistent at-home oral hygiene and regular dental checkups are vital to preserving your oral health, including your implants. We are happy to share practical tips to help you optimize your daily oral care routine and advise you on optimal nutritional supplementation.
Benefits of Zirconia Dental Implants
In addition to their durability and natural look, ceramic implants offer other the following benefits:
- They are hypoallergenic which prevents side effects
- They are resistant to corrosion, even in wet environments like the mouth
- They integrate well with your jawbone
- Their smooth finish minimizes plaque buildup
- They cause no metallic taste
- They are not heat-conductive and do not affect surrounding soft tissues
- They are very aesthetic with no grey shadows
What to Expect During the Ceramic Dental Implant Process in Dallas
Once we have determined that a zirconia dental implant is an appropriate treatment for you, we can schedule your oral surgery. If you need a tooth extraction beforehand, we may take care of this first. We offer conscious sedation and we strive for our practice to be a welcoming environment to make your appointments a positive experience. Our staff members are dedicated to your health and comfort.
Dr. Lynn places the ceramic implant, your artificial root, into the jawbone and below the gum line. We use platelet-rich fibrin as a healing enhancer, otherwise known as PRF. This helps ensure the implant does not shift. The implant then needs to properly fuse with the jawbone and heal over several weeks or months, typically three months. We provide you with any necessary aftercare instructions and schedule follow-up appointments.
Once we have confirmed that your implant had healed into the jawbone, we can attach the visible part, a ceramic crown, to the zirconia post to finalize your full replacement tooth. You can use your zirconia implant as you would a natural tooth.
At Lynn Dental Care, we bring over 40 years of experience and a relaxing setting to find personalized solutions to your dental needs. Ceramic dental implants are hypoallergenic and reliable tooth replacements that let you eat and speak comfortably and smile with confidence again.
