Advanced Technology in Our Office

CBCT scanner

This digital cone beam scanner captures highly detailed images of your oral structures including jaw bone volume, location of nerves and position of tooth roots to help with treatment planning. A CBCT scanner may be used in the placement of dental implants, alongside X Nav Technology.

Diagnodent

DIAGNOdent is a radiation free diagnostic tool that assists our team in identifying cavities before they are visible to the naked eye. DIAGNOdent uses a laser diode to inspect your teeth. Early detection allows us to catch and treat cavities before they get bigger and worse.

velscopeUsed for oral pathology screenings, VELscope assists us in identifying potential disease or problem areas within the mouth that may not be visible to the naked eye. The World Health Organization recognizes Velscope as the world’s most widely used adjunctive device for the enhanced visualization of oral mucosal abnormalities, such as oral cancer or pre-malignant dysplasia.

Dr. Brock Lynn provides Plasma Rich Growth Factors (otherwise known as PRF) to his patients during treatment to promote healing. Currently L-PRF is being used for dental and oral maxillofacial surgical procedures, including dental implants, bone defects, extraction sockets, sinus and dental ridge augmentation, palatal defects, and maxillary bone atrophy.

A sample of your blood is collected in a tube, just as it would be for a blood test. For patients with significant boss loss, Dr. Lynn may use a combination of (Leukocyte Platelet Rich Fibrin) or L-PRF, these are white blood cells.

The use of white blood cells (which are responsible for immunity) provides a concentrated release of healing proteins, creates a scaffolding to help direct healing and also forms a more efficient network for cells to communicate with other cells and tissues.

PRF

Tekscan technologyWe use this advanced technology to measure and evaluate your bite occlusion. This can tell us where your bite may be off and how we can make slight adjustments to correct your teeth and get your jaw properly aligned. Dr. Lynn may use Tekscan to help protect your crowns, bridges and veneers from chewing forces.

iTeroWe utilize the iTero® digital scanner when capturing images of your teeth in place of gag-inducing paste impressions.  iTero digital  scanner helps Dr. Lynn create accurate physical dental models for restorative work, including crowns, veneers, and implants. The images come out more accurate and the process is less invasive for patients.

Piezosurgery

Piezosurgery is used for sinus lift bone grafting. This advanced technology allows us to use ultrasonic vibrations to cut through bone that does not harm soft tissues like the gums or sinus membrane. Piezosurgery provides quicker healing and comfort.

ozone generatorWe’ve invested in an ozone water system because of its effective ability to create an environment unsuitable for bacteria to thrive. Our ozone generator advanced technology allows us to target and extinguish oral bacteria by converting oxygen to ozone and delivering it to the gums via a gas or water spray.

X-Guide Dynamic 3D Navigation System image

Dr. Brock Lynn uses the industry-leading X-Guide® surgical system paired with Cone Beam 3D imaging allows us to provide our patients with the most accurate implant surgery. With X-Guide Navigated surgery, the doctor utilizes live, 3D views of anatomy – it’s like real-time directions during your procedure to place the implant exactly where it should be. The surgeon’s control and precision over the entire implant process is elevated.
