The Velscope hand-piece shines a safe blue light into the mouth, causing it to fluoresce (or glow). Healthy tissue glows bright green and suspicious areas appear dark.
Early detection is vital to surviving oral cancer. The Velscope allows our clinicians to immediately view the different fluorescence responses to determine normal vs. abnormal tissue.
