What is Invisalign®?
Invisalign® is a revolutionary method for straightening the teeth, achieving superb results without the use of metal wires, brackets, or bands. The Invisalign® system uses a series of clear, plastic trays to gently guide the teeth toward their appropriate position. This treatment can be used to solve a number of mild to moderate orthodontic issues including overbites and underbites, overcrowding, or uneven spacing. Treatment begins when Dr. Lynn makes an impression of the teeth. This mold is then sent to the Invisalign® labs where a customized series of trays is created. Patients are expected to wear the trays for up to 22 hours per day, changing trays about every two weeks. When worn properly, Invisalign® trays can deliver marked results in less than two years- the same time as traditional braces.
