I'm Dr. Brock Lynn, a general dentist and Periodontist in Dallas. If you suffer from nagging headaches or migraines, recurring earaches, jaw pain, or aching teeth, you may be a bruxer -- a person who grinds and clenches his teeth habitually. The pain you're experiencing could stem from

Technological Advances at Lynn Dental Care

Sep 12, 2010 @ 04:12 PM – by drblynn

The evolution of dentistry is truly amazing. Im excited to offer a number of technological advances to my dental patients. The tools I employ make dental work more precise and safe, and they also improve patient comfort, reduce healing time, and help keep smiles healthy and strong. These days, people are keeping their natural teeth longer than ever before. I believe access to dental care, quality dental materials, and new technology play a significant role in this achievement.

Here are a few of the technologies I use at Lynn Dental Care:

All Porcelain Crowns: Sensible & Chic

Sep 12, 2010 @ 04:05 PM – by drblynn

In the past, people who had crowns no longer enjoyed an all-white smile. Crowns were made of metal, making them obviously different from natural dental porcelain. But dental materials have come a long way, baby! Today, we have high-quality, durable dental porcelain that looks like natural tooth enamel.

I prefer to place all-porcelain crowns on teeth that show when a person smiles. For teeth further back in the mouth, a more durable material is necessary, so I often use porcelain-fused-to-metal or zirconia crowns. All of these materials look natural.

Sometimes, on molars that do not show in a smile, I still use metal crowns for optimal durability on the teeth that must

Dallas Implant Dentistry

Loose, ill-fitting, wobbly dentures are frustrating. If youre a denture patient and you want more reliable, solid retention of your prosthesis, I want to talk to you about dental implants. Im Dr. Brock Lynn, a Dallas implant dentist, and many of my patients have found improved quality of life with implant-retained dentures.

Dental implants are small posts that replace missing teeth roots. One implant can replace a single tooth, or I can secure about four implants to retain a denture. Because implants are connected to the jaw, they provide a stable anchor for dentures. No adhesive or suction is required. The implants do all the work.
